My friends and I are regulars at what is called "tam-tams".
For those who are not from Montreal, and are not familiar with the "Tam-Tams", here is a little history and background on the event.
Since apparently the 70's (according to my research), every sunday, in the summer time, Mount Royal hosts the "Tam Tam Jam", a popular activity whereby a number of Montrealers and visitors play hand drums such as djembes on the east slope of the mountain. This regular event attracts people of various backgrounds, and often dozens of tam-tam players perform their art at the same time, encouraging others to dance. In addition, others participate in a continuous mock medieval battle with foam-padded weapons, although seemingly a crazy activity, it is always fun to watch !
Although a little controversial due to the permissive attitude towards marijuana use ( we are in Canada after all) , the event is a simple bliss ( wow a fancy sounding word)
So here are some pictures from my "Tam-Tams afternoons"...
Hey I figured it had been a while since my last post, so I will make my return to the blog's sphere with this great song and this fabulous band. I do mind their too-dark-of-a-look, but they sound so good, the combination of their melodies and lyrics just works.
This is just a peek of their poetry.
"I can give it all on the first date I don't have to exist outside this place And Dear, know that I can change
But if stars shouldn't shine By the very first time Then dear it's fine, so fine by me Cause we can give it time So much time with me"
Here's to hoping I keep bloggin (for my sake, not yours, I am not as pretentious as to think people read this)
J'aime le style de mec, celui qui dit: "Je suis belle sans essayer". Alors voila, voici quelques photo de la collection Ete Berangere claire. Trois mots la qualifie: simplicite, comfort, et style !
